Bottoms Up works with both hospitals and physician offices to establish mental health support programs through our funding for adults and pediatric patients and their families to help with learning to cope with the feelings of isolation, depression, anxiety and stress associated with living with Inflammatory Bowel Disease.
Imagine being 5 years old and waiting to receive an IV so you may receive life-saving medicine? Imagine being an adult or senior waiting for your procedure or surgery hoping it's not cancer? Patients feel scared, nervous, anxious, and so many other emotions. Our Care Package Program brings together students from high schools along with their community to collect donations for our pediatric and adult patients such as small stuffed animals, fidget toys, coloring books, crayons, masks, tissues, band-aids, hand sanitizers, and other small items that are then put together in individual packages and distributed to hospitals, infusion centers and physician offices. These packages provide a small and pleasant distraction from their pending medical event. Would your facility or office benefit from the Care Package Program? Please contact us to learn how to get started.
